Over the Easter break a few years ago , my family I a few years ago ventured across to Perth in Western Australia for a family holiday.
We stayed at Hillarys Boat Harbour which is only 25 minutes from Perth CBD and has a variety of places to eat, drink and relax. We visited AQWA (The Aquarium of Western Australia), took a trip into Perth and visited the Perth Zoo, and also drove down to Fremantle for lunch one day down at the harbour, with a sneaky visit to one of the local chocolatiers; Fremantle Chocolate.
One of the high points to the trip, was visiting AQWA, there were stingrays and sharks which you could touch, and tanks of rescued turtles, it was amazing! Also when you are there, if you are like me, you will find it very weird how they have their train lines running in the middle of the freeway…
I think my next visit over to the far West will be a bit more North, something like Broome.
