This is one of the most simple recipes to make, and tastes delicious. I always have people compliment this chicken so it is my “go-to” recipe when I can’t be bothered putting a lot of effort in to it. You can use pretty much any type of chicken in this recipe (breasts, thighs, wings) but I prefer chicken breasts.
Mix equal parts Dijonaise Mustard and honey (generally 1/2 – 1 cup each) and combine in a bowl.
Coat pre-cut chicken breasts by pouring in all the sauce in a dish and cover the dish and place in fridge for a few hours (even overnight).
With this dish, you can either cook in the oven, stove top or BBQ.
For the oven: Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Bake for 45 – 60 minutes or until cooked through.
Otherwise, just cook the meat like you usually would, (no pink in the middle). The trick with this one is to allow the sauce to almost burn and be black. That is the honey burning and gives it amazing flavour.
Serve with vegies and mash (my personal favourite).
