RECIPE: Chicken Lazone

I like to research new recipes and give them a go, and this one didn’t disappoint.

I made the below and served on top of my famous mashed potato and steamed vegies and the plates were polished by the end of it.


½ tsp salt
1 ½ tsp chili powder
1 ½ tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
2 – 3 chicken breasts, sliced into tenders
3 tbs butter, divided
2 cups heavy/thickened cream


Combine salt, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Mix well and sprinkle over both sides of chicken tenders.

In a large pan, melt half of the butter over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken strips until cooked on both sides.

Pour in the cream and remaining butter and lower the heat to simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.

Serve chicken and sauce over pasta or potatoes.
