In Las Vegas, there are very few decent places to eat – especially within our small budget – but Dal Toro Ristorante went above our expectations.
Whilst buying tickets to see ‘Rock of Ages’ we were offered the chance to purchase a 25% off voucher to eat at Dal Toro, so we thought ‘why the heck not, let’s eat somewhere nice’ and we are so glad we did.
Dal Toro is a multilevel restaurant located on the lower level of The Palazzo Hotel. It is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are looking for amazing Italian cuisine, this is the best place to go! Some of the meals on the menu are reasonably priced, especially considering the prices we get back home in Australia, and the 25% off coupon made it extra nice.
For dinner, I ate the Pollo Alla Valsotana which was fresh free range chicken breast, topped with ham, fontina cheese and Portobello mushroom, sautéed in a white wine sauce. Served with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It was only USD$26 but was perfect, especially the fresh vegetables, I devoured those broccoli stumps like they were going out of fashion, as fresh steamed vegies are SO HARD to come by in America when you eat out, everything is deep –fried or cheesy, or both!
After dinner, we still had time before our show so we ventured downstairs to Dal Toro’s Exotic Car Museum, it is a sight to see. Featuring some of the world’s best luxury speed cars such as Ferraris, Vipers, Rolls Royce and my personal baby, a 67’ Chevy Impala.
